Jetski's & Jetski Racing

In the Norwich Model Boat club we have a very healthy Jet-ski following, we do cater for all types of jet-skis however the main boat that all seem to like is the Robbe "SEAJET", these are by far the most popular class in the club, indeed from what I have seen around clubs and shows in the UK this does seem to be the case also everywhere else too.

We race the Robbe Seajet as a standard class "from the box", the rules are simple!

We race for 5 minutes per heat, on a 7 cell battery, standard kit motor (typically a 550) and the kit standard props, although other makes are allowed if we cannot get hold of the Robbe originals, the main spares are the Graupner H/1224 L&R series.

We run 2-4 heats per day of between 7-10 boats, the course is either a rectangle or triangle depending on how we all feel. We have even done a figure 8 course, - That was fun to watch!

The final race of the day is the all in run until the last boat is running, including a figure of 8 course, this is a great laugh seeing anything from 14 upwards jet-skis racing in a figure 8 course, this is not as much of a carnage as you might think as we have now all got used to the course now, which actually makes it look even better from a  spectators point of view.
